Erbil, January 12 (Rn) – A newspaper (Upstream) Norwegian Thursday, said the company (Chamaran) Canadian oil decided to suspend its activities in the fields (Belkhana and arabized) province of Kurdistan because of the negative consequences of IT work, noting that the company is in discussions with the provincial government on their projects.

The newspaper quoted a source in the Canadian company as saying that “stop our work in the oil fields Belkhana west of Kalar, and arabized south of the city of Sulaimaniya, was due to the negative consequences of technology work in the fields and reached Amgahma about 2333 meters, and the quality of oil is good.” The source “The talks are underway between officials of the company and the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan region on the mechanism of future work, and the reorganization plans of action.” The paper quoted the administrative head of the company (Chamaran) Pradeep Kabra as saying that “the company is making all efforts for the success of the work in the oil fields in Kurdistan Region , “noting that” the results of the work in the fields of Belkhana and arabized were not positive, but we rely on the results to be achieved through our work in the fields (Atrush and Taza) province of Kurdistan. ” He noted that “according to the analysis conducted by the company, can produce large quantities of oil of 600 to 2450 barrels of oil a day in the field of Sherani. ” The company (Chamaran), one of Canadian companies licensed to operate in the extraction of oil, and has 60% of the profits of oil field Belkhana province of Kurdistan.
