Lots of bickering going on still..when you read the articles Understand Things may not seem as bad as the they seem when you read news articles about these things compare it to our elections over here…having debates…crisis over budget etc same as here in the US …that is what you asre hearing over there
There is lots of movements..thats what we want to see we need to get everything in place..passed and moved on…very key I believe these are the finishing steps to get everything in place so the currency can properly RV and do what it can…as we have seen in the past they can adjust the rate and they can do it at anytime

Extremely good stuff going going on last couple of days Over the past couple of days…This being the 1st rate adjustment CBI made-I am sure that there were lots of shockwaves sent thru the economic commuinity as they started to do this and possibly people might have thought this rate was the real rate for the RV
We know why they went from 1170 to 1166..basically for the CBI to kinda show whats going on…truly an adjustment they made because the American dollar has gotten a little bit stronger…so they can try to slow down the amount of people coming in and they can take a few more dinars off the street… such a small amount that it kinda really shows the political people that they can do this with or without you from that standpoint
Good movement with the Budget and moving thru the political process We are starting to see movement on 140 and agreement on 140 We want to see them agreeing on small things and small steps Ultimate smoke screen before they do anything…I believe they are going to be bickering up to the bitter end We will have some sort of RV/Reinstatement and you will start to see the parties will make up
They will probably not put it out there They are still very new to the political process Sometimes they let things sneak out and we can get some juicy bits from the newspaper like we did from the CBI
Can the Kurds force open the budget Thye dont have the power to open up the budget The only person is Maliki and I dont think M wants to do that.. they have him between a rock and a hard spot If they show up and 140 is not done and force the budget thru it would hurt what he is trying to do in the long run I would assume you are going to get agreement on the budget to move that forward
We talked about where Erbil HCL and 140 - We are starting to see they really want to do that and to move forward
Outside influences…We can see Iraq acting as a sovreign country Diplomatic ways are the ways people are putting pressure on that The UN really doesn’t have any pressure to put on them other than wanting them off sanctions and get them out and going The UN will not have anything to say about the RV Truly the only ones who have anything to say about that is the CBI and where they are at and in conjunction with the IMF and they will do that at a time they consider as perfect time for them to do that for their country and where they are at
Does the US have any influence on this RV? I am sure we have some but whether they have it over when where and how to do it… I believe in my own mind Iraq is in charge of that process they will do it when they need to do it for what they need to do it for We can apply political pressure on any country we want to help force them down to a point where they can do things but when it comes to a monetary policy of a country we really dont have that much influence because they are a Central Bank they are not associated with Central Govt… They are truly independent just as our fed reserves is truly indep from our govt…Most people dont know that …because it has the word fed in it Really acts by itself in conjunction with the govt in our country but there are times they will go out and act on behalf of the economy and not on behalf of the politicians
