Issued senior economic officials Dmenhm head the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank statement calling for the world to adhere to the principles of free trade and economic reform and the protection of economic growth. Signatories of the statement warned that the austerity programs currently in place in many countries of the world should enhance the opportunities for growth, not be blocked, and warned that the world is facing a slowdown in growth and high unemployment rates, calling to work actively to eliminate the huge disparities in income. The warnings came in a statement titled invitation issued by the officials to work the day after the annual World Economic Forum in Switzerland
